Building on decades of DSP expertise and state-of-the-art emulation techniques, Arturia’s Synthx V recreates the Elka Synthex with unrivaled accuracy and elevates it with advanced arpeggiation drag-and-drop modulation, effects and expressive keyboard controls—providing musicians with the ultimate tool for rich, symphonic analog sounds.

The original Elka Synthex was an analog synthesizer crafted by Italian engineer Mario Maggi, and produced by the Italian company Elka between 1981 and 1985. Drawing inspiration from iconic models like the Prophet 5, Maggi dedicated 12 years to perfecting this instrument, skillfully blending boutique components with artisanal design. The result left its mark on the music indutry, and its legendary status was further cemented by its adoption by renowned artists such as Jean-Michel Jarre, Stevie Wonder, and Depeche Mode.
