I stumbled on a random sound in this demo video that i would like to replicate.

It is Akemie’s castle doing a relatively simple? FM timbre.

Unfortunately i have don’t have the module, i do have a Digitone 2 here. I figure a four operator synth should be able to get in the balpark, but i’m not getting there.

You can see the used algorithm in the video, but the manual is unclear about how the algorithm works exactly.

I’m guessing i need just operator II into I at a certain ratio, and there is the chord thing Akemie does that i don’t quite understand. Does it do a root+5th when the chord knob is in the lowest position?

maybe the character is because of the used wavefom?

It sounds almost chorused, a bit lofi and has a kind of drifty VHS tape quality

Anyone have ideas about how to replicate this kind of sound? Let me know.
